Lifeline is a discount program that makes basic, local telephone service affordable for millions of eligible low-income households. Customers that currently receive any of the following qualify for a Lifeline plan:
- Federal Public Housing/Section 8
- Food Stamps
- LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance)
- Medicaid
- SSI (Supplemental Security Income)
- TANF (Temporary Assistance to Needy Families)
